Information on this site is structured around two individuals, Gustav and Eva (Eichelt) Werner. Born in German settlements west of Warsaw in the mid 19th century, Gustav Werner and Eva Eichelt moved with their respective families to the Heimtal area of Volhynia.
Married in 1887, they soon immigrated to Canada and settled in the Bruderheim area of the province of Alberta, where they raised a large family.
Although Gustav and Eva are the focal point as far as the organizational structure of this website is concerned, "those that were before" and "those that have come after" are of equal interest to current research efforts.
